Norah earned her master’s degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and is both California and nationally certified in acupuncture and herbal medicine. Her clinical experiences include treating patients at a clinic for the homeless and underserved, as well as working as a member of the multidisciplinary palliative care team at San Diego Hospice. In addition to her training in San Diego, Norah has studied in China, doing clinical work at Nanjing Hospital and attending seminars through the China Nanjing International Acupuncture Training Center.
The tools of Norah’s practice all honor the body’s amazing ability to heal if given the correct support. Norah treats a wide range of health concerns in her practice including fertility issues, gynecological complaints, digestive and respiratory dysfunction, and various types of pain.
Passionate about using Chinese medicine to enhance mental and emotional health, Norah’s clinical focus includes the treatment of eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Besides her training in Chinese medicine, Norah regularly attends seminars focusing specifically on the treatment of eating disorders and related issues. She has treated eating disorders both in private practice and intensive outpatient program settings.
Norah is also a certified Postural Alignment Specialist, having taken classes through Egoscue University. Posture therapy uses exercises to address musculoskeletal imbalances that contribute to pain (tendonitis, arthritis, bursitis, headaches, muscle tension, etc.) and limited physical function. Norah combines Chinese medicine and postural therapy to eliminate pain, restore functional posture, and improve overall health.
